Babu Ravanepalli

I am designer who has been enjoying simplifying and creating joyful experiences for about a decade. My key for creating people centric designs is empathy.

I work as a Head of design at Practo Technologies. Currently I'm involved in designing for growth and scaling up the design team.

I pursued my Masters in Information and Interface Design at

National Institute of Design, India

I am passionate about creating things people love and I am grateful that I can do that for a living. I enjoy new problems on the table as they are giving me an opportunity to learn and create. I am very research driven and I find peace in prototyping new ideas.

Personal values

Create things people love: I like building useful and usable things, but love to add some fun and beauty to them. Why choose function over form when you can do both?

Craft is the key: As rightly said "the devil is in the details". And only good crafting skills can bring out the details.
Team matters: Work is important, but whom you are working with is even more so.

Think big: The small things we make every day should align to bigger things and contribute to create a better world to live in.

After work

Spicy food: Where there is spicy food, there I am.

Ball games: I am always exited like a kid when I see a bouncing ball. I like playing a good match of cricket, table tennis, volleyball, you name it... but I'm no master of nothing.

Playing guitar: One day I wish to travel with my guitar, playing in public parks on warm summer days and sing along. Well, if my amateur skills ever reach that far...
